Can't get your team together for San Francisco or San Diego?

DragonSports is offering its members the opportunity to visit these race venues through the Portland Traveling Team. By combining forces, members may register to attend these races, all while promoting DragonSports and the Portland Dragon Boat Race.

San Francisco Dragon Boat Festival (September 17-18, 2011)
Last Day to Register: 6/15/2011

San Diego Dragon Boat Race (October 22-23, 2011)
Last Day to Register: 6/30/2011

Deposit
You need to register and pay a $50 deposit per race (link below). The registration deposit is fully refundable once the race is over. Please review our Registration Policies for additional details.

Airfare & Lodging
You will need to get yourself to each race and find a place to stay. Please wait until you receive confirmation that the race is a "go" before making any non-refundable travel plans. The estimated Airfare & Lodging rates for each race (as of 6/1/11):

• San Francisco: Airfare $335, Host Hotel ($139-$149/night)
• San Diego: Airfare $280, Hotel $67+/night

Food
Generally speaking, you must also feed yourself. DragonSports will fund the purchasing of water and snacks during the races.

Practices
We will set up about 2-4 practices (a Mon/Wed, a Tue/Thurs and Sat/Sun) within 3 weeks before the race that everyone should plan on attending.

Team Name & Jerseys
We need a name for the team. Members of the inaguaral Traveling Team to Long Beach will establish a name for the team. DragonSports will fund the purchasing of team jerseys and DragonSports merchandise which must be worn at these away race events.
