Dragon Boat Tiller Training
DragonSports tillers must have either obtained an Oregon Boater Education Card or PaddleSports Certificate (OBEC/PSC), under rules prior to May 2013. Starting in May 2013, any current tillers not in compliance with the OBEC/PSC requirement or any new individuals that intend to train as tillers will instead be required to attend DragonSports' training courses within three months of starting their training (or as soon as a training course is offered). Experienced tillers joining your team, but not previously reported to DragonSports, must also attend the training course. Any tillers who have previously met the OBEC/PSC requirement are still encouraged to attend a classroom session to learn information specific to navigating the Willamette River.
